We’re looking for someone who believes what Zig Zigler said, “You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.” We need someone who understands that serving our customers with a servant’s heart, will make them the most successful in their career.
Highly successful team members at our firm believe deeply in what they do, and for whom they do it. For us, it is important that you are great at doing the work, but it is just as important is that you match our culture, and believe deeply in the services that we provide to our customers.
We aren’t hiring just more employees. We’re looking for someone who expects to have an impact in the lives of our stakeholders, dozens of our customers, and the tens of thousands of people that our customers serve.
So if you like a fluid, growing, expanding organization that is local and quite small, but with a wide reach, and if you enjoy helping us all figure out how to continue moving forward, we could be a good fit. If you are looking for a box within which you will find a clear list of tasks to perform and a rigid “hierarchy”, please do not apply – we don’t see life that way.
What is the Next Step?
We don’t need to see your resume yet. Please do not send it and please do not call (unless we’ve specifically told you to). For now, just email us answers to the following questions. Short answers are fine – we don’t expect you to spend two hours on these:

– You’re already here, so you had might as well check out some of our projects and the types of things we work on there. You’ll get a feel for the types of customers we have and some of the folks we work with. Honestly, you’ve already noticed that our website is old and out of date, but we’ve got someone working on it!
And we’re on Facebook – facebook.com/InSiteEngineering – we’re not very good at the whole social media thing….but you’ll get the idea.
January 10, 2005 – InSite’s birthday.
34 – That’s how many Stakeholders we have today.
Our VISION – To be the HIGHEST QUALITY provider of engineering services to selected customers in the southern U.S.
Our MISSION – To PLEASE GOD by improving the quality of life through the design of sustainable infrastructure. If we meet this mission, we will be all over our vision!
Our KINGDOM PURPOSE – to enrich the lives of those we encounter through service, leadership, and reward. This would include you!
Our CORE VALUES – as determined by our current Stakeholders based on the way we run the business:
We believe that This is God’s business. And it’s pretty cool that He lets us run it for Him!
We believe in the Worth of the Individual. That all of us are made to do and to be something significant, and we will use work as one way for people to find and create that significance.
We believe in Ownership. It is the most powerful driving force in business. Everyone must own something, whether it is their task, their process, their job, their future, their result, or their company.
We believe in Transformation, not education. We lead from our experience, not from our knowledge.
We believe Time is the New Money. Most employees only ask their employer for money, but we believe our business should give us Time, Money and Significance (T+M=S).
We believe in Speed of Execution. Implement now and perfect as you go. Waiting around for perfection is a bad idea.
We believe in Bad Plans. Bad Plans Carried Out Violently Many Times Yield Good Results. It’s never how good your plan is that matters, but how committed you are to the Bad Plan you’ve got. Get moving.
We believe in Yield Per Hour – YPH. We expect stakeholders to always ask “What is the highest and best use of my time?”
We believe in Advisors, not in experts or gurus. Not “coach” or “director”. We are advisors to our customers, helping them succeed so that we can do the same.
And we believe in the Small Guy. Small entities have to take risks that make them the best leaders and the best hope for a better world. Nobody pays attention to the little guys. We do.
We look forward to hearing from you!
