KIMBERLY MUNICIPAL PARK

The Construction of a new park facility that will include 3 Tennis Courts, 8 pickle ball courts, 1 basketball court, 1 pavilion, a parking lot, water, sewer, storm sewer improvements, lighting, grading, erosion control, and all associated appurtenances.

Reform CWSRF Sanitary Sewer Lift Stations Improvements

The project includes the rehabilitation of three (3) existing sanitary sewer lift stations within the City of
Reform. Each of these existing stations will be upgraded with new Vaughan pumps and electrical
control panels to restore pumping efficiency and prevent overflow conditions during periods of heavy
rainfall. Work under this portion of the contract includes the furnishing and installation of new Vaughan
Model SR4V Submersible Chopper Pumps (25 HP) and Vaughan Model V3P Vertical Wet Well Pumps
(20 HP), complete with base elbow assemblies, aluminum access covers, duplex control panels,
enclosures, electrical service connections, and all other accessories and appurtenances required for
a fully operational lift station system. Following completion of equipment replacement and related
construction, each site will be restored, and erosion control and final seeding and grassing will be
provided.

The project also includes the construction of one (1) new sanitary sewer lift station to be located near
6th Street SE in Reform, Alabama. The new lift station will include two (2) 30 HP Vaughan Model SR4V
Submersible Chopper Pumps, a 96-inch diameter reinforced concrete wet well, and a 96-inch diameter
reinforced concrete storage basin. Associated construction will include installation of approximately
1,634 linear feet of 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer force main and fittings, complete with excavation,
bedding, backfill, and asphalt patching as required. A new manhole will be installed to connect the new
lift station to the existing sanitary sewer system and tie into the City’s wastewater treatment plant
(WWTP). Additional work includes construction of a concrete slab for the wet well and storage basin,
installation of site chain link fencing and access gate, placement of #57 stone bedding and 825B stone
driveway, site grading, and all electrical and control equipment necessary for proper operation. As part
of this work, the existing 12-inch gravity sewer line that is being replaced by the new system will be
capped and abandoned. Clearing and grubbing will be performed at the new lift station site to remove vegetation, scrub trees, and stumps as needed for site preparation. The completed project will provide
significant operational and maintenance benefits to the City’s collection system by improving pumping
efficiency, reducing excessive power consumption, and mitigating the risk of sewer overflows caused
by inadequate lift station capacity.

The project is funded through the Alabama Department of Environmental Management’s Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) Project No. CS010849-01 as Contract #1.
